On Wednesday 12 August, the Moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun, covering around 90% of the Sun. It’s set to be the most significant solar eclipse visible from the UK since 1999, making it a truly memorable event.

Step aboard for a relaxing cruise through the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside as daylight takes on an eerie twilight glow. With our fully licensed bar open throughout the evening, it’s the perfect way to experience this rare celestial event with family and friends

Solar eclipse glasses are NOT supplied on this trip, however they can be purchased onboard at the cost price of £2 or you can bring your own ISO 12312-2 certified glasses to allow you to enjoy the eclipse safely. For your safety, never look directly at the Sun. Ordinary sunglasses should never be used to look directly at the Sun.

Please note: The eclipse is a natural phenomenon and visibility is subject to weather conditions. While we can’t guarantee clear skies, guests will still enjoy a relaxing evening cruise along the beautiful River Thames with our fully licensed bar open throughout.
