FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Can I bring my own food or drinks on board?
You cannot provide your own food or drinks on The New Orleans, The Waterman or Hibernia, although we do offer a self catering option on our Hibernia vessel and Lilibet at certain times of the year.
Instead, you’re welcome to hire a caterer through Hobbs of Henley. For more information, and to see the available menu options, please see our catering page.
A fully licensed bar is available on all three vessels.
-
When do I need to choose my menu and give you guest numbers for catering?
You will need to choose your caterer upon booking, so that they can be reserved for your special event.
Final guest numbers and dietary requirements should be provided in writing two weeks before your trip.
You will be billed according to the guest numbers you provide at this point.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow any reductions after this date. However, if numbers increase slightly, we should be able to accommodate additional guests and will invoice accordingly.
For more information, please see our terms and conditions.
-
How do the drinks work?
The New Orleans, The Waterman and Hibernia all have a fully licensed bar on board. This bar can either operate as an account bar, or guests can pay for their drinks directly. We accept cash and card.
If you would like any specific wines from our wine list, you must order and pay for them in advance.
All drinks must be paid for on departure.
-
Can I provide my own entertainment?
You are more than welcome to hire your own photographer, florist, decorations, and cake. However, all other suppliers must be booked through Hobbs of Henley.
We only permit use of our own musical entertainment services, as they are familiar with the vessels and our standard operating procedure. Our normal terms and conditions apply.
We must be informed of all supplier bookings, or they could be refused entry to our boats.
-
When and where can my guests board?
Boarding is permitted 15 minutes prior to departure. Early access for organisers is available by arrangement.
With the standard booking, passenger pick-up and drop-off is only available at the main Hobbs mooring.
However, if you would like to hear about our alternative options, please contact the office.
-
When and how do I pay?
Initially, you will pay 50% of the charter to confirm your booking. The remaining charter balance is due two weeks before your trip.
You should settle your catering, decoration and entertainment invoices two weeks before your trip. Any outstanding bar balance must be settled at the end of the cruise.
Please see the terms and conditions for more information.
