Regatta River Taxis
Jump on-board on one of our boats via Pier 2 on the Hobbs of Henley boatyard to be ferried to and from the starting point of the Royal Regatta. Advance booking is advised.

Where is Hobbs of Henley’s boatyard?
Our boatyard is a stone’s throw from Henley train station, simply walk towards the river from the station and you will get to us. Our address is The Boat House, Station Road, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 1AZ. You will need Pier 3 for the river taxis.

Will I see much of the regatta from the river taxi?
Using the taxi to ferry you to and from the start line is one of the best ways to view the regatta in all its glory. For a start, you don’t need to make a near 2.5 kilometre walk and you’ll avoid the towpath, which can get incredibly busy and rowdy.
From the taxi you will be able to see the whole course, and depending on when you choose to travel you might even see some racing too.
You’re more than welcome to buy a one way or a return ticket for the river taxi. But we do advise booking online in advance to avoid disappointment, the service gets incredibly busy – even on the quieter days of regatta.
