Weddings
Our luxurious vessels are the ideal venue for a unique wedding day. Our boats are also available as wedding ferries, allowing you and your guests to arrive at a riverside wedding in style.
Wedding Receptions
The reception is the perfect time to celebrate love and commitment with all of your friends and family. Make that celebration even more special: host your wedding reception on board one of our elegant vessels, set against the gorgeous backdrop of the River Thames.
Hobbs of Henley are also happy to offer wedding blessings aboard their vessels…
“Mike and I would like to say a big thank you to the crew, they made our day very special. The boat was just the right place to hold our reception with friends and family!”
The Wedding Ferry
Start your special day with style!
Our beautiful slipper launch, Thames Childe, is the perfect way for a bride and her party to arrive at a riverside wedding, or for the happy couple to travel between the church and the reception.
We can also transport the whole wedding party on one of our larger vessels, such as The Waterman or Hibernia.
After the excitement of the wedding service, a short river trip can provide a welcome respite. It’s the perfect opportunity to take a breather – or to get the party started!
For more information about our wedding ferry service, please see our price list below, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Can I provide my own entertainment?
You are more than welcome to hire your own photographer, florist, decorations, and cake. However, all other suppliers must be booked through Hobbs of Henley. We only permit use of our own musical entertainment services, as they are familiar with the vessels and our standard operating procedure. We must be informed of all supplier bookings, or they could be refused entry to our boats.
-
When do I need to choose my menu and give you guest numbers for catering?
You will need to choose your caterer upon booking, so that they can be reserved for your special day. You will need to provide your final guest numbers and dietary requirements two weeks before your trip. You will be billed according to the guest numbers you provide at this point. Unfortunately, we cannot allow any reductions after this date. However, if numbers increase slightly, we should be able to accommodate additional guests and will invoice accordingly.
-
When and how do I pay?
Initially, you will pay 50% of the charter to confirm your booking. The remaining charter balance is due two weeks before your trip.
Your final balance invoice including the remaining charter, catering, and entertainment needs to be settled two weeks before your trip. Any outstanding bar balance must be settled at the end of the cruise.
