Favoured by discerning boaters thanks to their blend of style, elegance and comfort, you can’t go wrong by hiring one of the  Antaris class launches from Hobbs.

The R818 ‘Rosetta’ I and II can seat up to 8 guests including the driver on their elegantly upholstered seats. Complete with a music system and a retractable roof, Rosetta I and II offer a brilliant way to enjoy all that the Thames has to offer. 

You can also take a hamper or afternoon tea on-board with you, or make a stop at one of the many riverside pubs or restaurants.

Please note: You must return the boat by 17:00 ...unless during Henley Regatta and then 18:00.

  • Is there a table onboard?

    The Antaris R818 has a small table in the centre of the boat.

  • Is there a security deposit required for this boat?

    A £250 security deposit is required before departure. This is refunded if the boat is back by 5pm, returned clean and tidy with all rubbish removed. The deposit is non-refundable if a rope is left in the water and gets caught around the propeller, or for gross negligence resulting in an accident.

  • Do you provide buoyancy aids with the hire and are they included in the price?

    Yes, all customers have access to buoyancy aids before their departure. A staff member will show you where to access these before you head off. Buoyancy aids are included in the price of the hire of the boat.

  • Why can’t I book an hour’s hire online?

    We can only take advance bookings for a whole day hire online. To book an Antaris class launch by the hour please visit the Hobbs boatyard.

  • Is the Antaris class R818 launch available for skippered hire?

    Absolutely! You can hire an Antaris class R818 launch with a skipper for up to 8 guests. You are welcome to book by both the hour and the day.

  • What makes Hobbs’ Antaris launches special?
